DJ’s Great Outdoor Experience (DJ's GOE) was founded in loving memory of DJ, a young man from Philadelphia whose life was tragically cut short by senseless gun violence in his own neighborhood. To honor his life, DJ’s mother created this powerful, healing, and hope-filled camping experience — a space where youth from Philadelphia can safely connect with nature, adventure, and one another.Now in its 3rd year, DJ’s GOE is taking a group of deserving youth to Maryland’s Eastern Shore for a weekend of camping — filled with team-building, imagination, outdoor exploration, and character development. For many of these children, it’s their first time ever leaving the city — their first time under the stars, in a tent, or out on the water.
This Experience Is 100% Free for the Youth.
